Engine Daimler-Benz DB-605

Engine Daimler-Benz DB-605 Twelve-cylinder inverted Vee-type supercharged liquid-cooled engine Daimler-Benz DB-605 was used in fighters Messerschmidt Bf 109G. Cylinders contains 60° angle. Engine has four valves per cylinder (two inlet and two exhaust) operated by rocker arms directly from a single camshaft carried upon the head. It has direct fuel injection. DB-605 were made by german company Flugmotorwerke Ostmark; this actual engine was probably made in affiliated company in Dubnica nad Váhom, Slovakia in 1944.
